Jar has over 10 years in the energy sector at SLP, BNFL and TXU Europe,. Jar’s expertise covers Nuclear, Renewable and Oil and Gas projects across Europe and Asia including consenting, regulation, construction, financing, power purchase, acquisition and construction.
Jar was sole legal advisor on the development of a 355MW CCGT plant in Kondapalli, India; a 215MW CHP power station at Shotton, Wales and a 2000 km gas line project for TXU, Australia.
Jar has extensive experience in commercial negotiating, international joint ventures, corporate restructuring, project finance, procurement, employment, mergers, acquisitions and disposals

Simon is a Chartered Accountant with an independent consulting practice since 2002.
Previously he was a partner with Arthur Andersen from 1994 to 2002 and with Binder Hamlyn from 1980, specialising in the interface between the private and public sector.
He was a core team member of the NDA set-up team from 2000 to 2005, focusing on finance, funding and contracting.

Nigel Bowers - Associate Director

Nigel has over 15 years experience in the power generation sector at the NDA, Conocophillips, InterGen, Humber Power and latterly Welsh Power Group.
At the NDA, Nigel developed internal controls, accounting procedures and governance structures that ensured reporting and analysis was accurate and timely.
At Welsh Power tasked with developing, constructing and operating a sub 50MW portfolio of generation assets in the UK and Northern Europe. This role included acting as CEO to the development business, leading a successful UK acquisition and securing planning permission on two green field sites in the UK.
Previously Nigel has worked for a number of power generation businesses as Finance Director covering the whole asset life cycle from development, construction and commissioning through to full commercial operations. This included six years in Turkey with InterGen taking three green field power plants from late stage development to commercial operations( total installed capacity 3,750MW)

Stuart Sullivan is an employment law specialist with 14 years experience in the HR arena in the commercial and public sector.
His expertise includes advising corporate and commercial teams in dealing with mergers and acquisitions work, change management, large redundancy, TUPE, consultation and communication and performance management.
He also advises on employee relations and has excellent relationship management skills delivering a quality HR service to meet companies strategic and operational needs thus adding value to the business.
